Synopsis
An atmospheric contemporary dance/film/theatre collaboration with some of Australia’s most experienced independent artists. This award-winning production was presented at The Blue Room Theatre in Perth, and is now ready to spread its wings to Hong Kong.
The extraordinary Jacqui Claus pushes the boundaries of solo dance theatre in a genre-defying fusion of animalistic movement and contemporary dance. Her journey is a motif for metamorphosis. We witness a woman evolving as she emerges from an urban, superficial image of a “standing bird” – a lone woman preening at a foyer bar – into the empowered creature that is the spirit bird taking flight.
