Synopsis
Director REN tells the true story of his 91-year-old grandmother, returning to Huizhou, Guangdong, to film long-lost relatives. He explores the circumstances behind his grandmother's lost hand and traces the upheavals of half a century ago. "Something About Us" serves as a window, inviting viewers on a familial journey, intimately examining the intertwining of love and lineage through the director's perspective.
This documentary not only questions the past but also offers a profound self-reflection. The pain of history lingers, and as memories resurface, the relationships among three generations quietly transform.
