Synopsis

Join us for an evening of your favourite musical selections from the piano, cello and vocal repertoire in a concert that combines both solo and chamber works. You’ll hear your favourite composers, Bach, Schumann, Bellini, Dvorak, Rachmaninoff and many more in this eclectic and stunningly beautiful program.

About performers: 

 

Lyric soprano Li Yang, is a highly versatile singer who embraces a wide range of repertoire and operatic roles. Her operatic credits include Cleopatra in Giulio Cesare, Pamina in Die Zauberflöte, Mimì in La bohème, Cio-cio-san in Madama Butterfly, Marschallin in Der Rosenkavalier, Santuzza in Cavalleria Rusticana and the title role of Aida. Li earned her Master of Music from HKAPA, she has also trained with the Opera Studio Melbourne, where she made her Australia debut as Tatyana in Eugene Onegin. She has been a featured soprano soloist in Mahler’s Fourth Symphony, Verdi’s Requiem, Brahms’ Liebeslieder Waltzes, and Schubert's Der Hirt auf dem Felsen, Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana, Haydn’s Nelson Mass and Vivaldi's Gloria in D.

 

Marko López de Vicuña has been a member of Tucson Symphony Orchestra (USA), Orquesta Ciudad de Granada (Spain) and Macao Orchestra. He studied cello at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg (Germany) and Jacobs School of Music in Bloomington (USA) where he studied with legendary cellist Janos Starker. Since 2023 he lives and teaches in Hong Kong.

 

Native of Russia, Natalia Tokar completed her masters and doctoral studies at the St. Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory, Russia and Michigan State University, USA under the guidance of such prominent pianists as Nadezhda Eismont, Deborah Moriarty and Minsoo Sohn. She performed in numerous solo and collaborative concerts and as a soloist with orchestra in Russia, Germany, France, Italy, USA, Hong Kong and Mainland China.  Since moving to Hong Kong in 2014, Natalia has been an active member of the music community.
