The Renaissance: Redemption of the Soul

The Renaissance in the 16th century was a sweeping reform across various fields in Europe, bringing about revolutionary impacts on the scientific and artistic domains of that time.

 

I have chosen "Soul Renaissance " as my theme because art, to me, signifies a renewal of thought and soul. As a Hongkonger, we are constantly caught up in the hustle and bustle of work and life, sometimes getting lost in the materialistic society. However, after encountering art in my thirties, my psyche and soul underwent a revolution akin to the Renaissance. This revolution not only changed the course of my life but also instilled in me a sense of purpose, hoping that more friends and art enthusiasts can find redemption of the soul through art.

 

My works aim to explore individuals' mental states in modern society and seek the true essence deep within their hearts through the lens of art. I hope that my works resonate with viewers, inspiring them to contemplate art and explore life on a deeper level.
