Twin brothers Carl and Alan Maguire grew up in Hong Kong and studied jazz in the USA.  Discovered by Donald Brown at the age of 17, they had a fast-forward education in jazz improvisation.  In 2013 they returned to Hong Kong to play jazz.  The Gift of Music Foundation connected them with Ted Lo, a longtime friend of Brown and Hong Kong’s very own world-class jazz pianist.  Now 21 years old, the twins have recorded their second album, and their playing style is even more impressive and passionate.

This summer, once again, Carl & Alan, the International Jazz Twins, take Hong Kong by storm with Ted.  This cross-border, cross-generation trio creates a fresh and inviting jazz sound, traditional yet contemporary and modern.  Witness the music being created and enjoy a journey on a magic carpet of jazz.  The interaction of the audience is sure to make the journey even more interesting!
