The strawberry lookalike growing on Colette's balcony has a lyrical name. It's called Carolina Reaper. It's supposed to have come from China. A friend from Yunnan, China, told us that over there it's called Sha Sha La. That means to spice up your soup, all you need to do is to just slide it over the surface of it.
Joe, our Thai chef, has made a hot sauce with it. He has mixed it with garlic and a special crab meat paste. This is a secret recipe.
Joe has many such recipes, e.g. his delicious satay and pesto sauces. He puts them on to highlight his dishes.
