Synopsis
Italian saxophonist-composer Nicola Mogavero is making his Hong Kong debut in Fringe Dairy. Alongside with local professional saxophonists, Nicola will be featured as soloist, playing works specially arranged for him by Molinelli, Morricone and Piazzolla. He is also going to play a Hong Kong premiere of a new work of himself for this concert. Hong Kong based saxophonist Tak Chiu Wong will also join the ensemble with some solos.
Nicola borns in 1983, he studies saxophone at Conservatorio di Musica di Stato “V.Bellini” of Palermo under the guide of G.Palma and I.Calderone, and obtained the Academic Diploma 2nd level in Composition under
the guidance of M°Marco Betta, special mention with his Rapsodia Mediterranea for Alto Saxophone and Strings which will be presented in the performance.
The Saxophone octet features local active saxophonists, members include Jeffery Chan, Kam-fung Fan, Samuel Leung, Bosco Ng, Man-sze Tsang, Natalie Yip and Ocean Yip.
