Synopsis

Aurora Corpus was born in Hong Kong to a family of musicians and artists.  She is active in the Hong Kong arts, cultural and entertainment scene, both on stage as a performing artiste and behind the scenes in another capacity, when time permits.

Aurora’s musical repertoire is vast, ranging from classical opera arias to musical theatre, jazz and pop music.  Her appearances have included a critically acclaimed performance in the role of Bloody Mary for the Hong Kong Singers’ 2004 production of the musical South Pacific, and performances at several high-profile annual events, balls, parties and concerts as a featured artiste, as a soloist or as part of an ensemble.

She is one of the featured artistes on the dance music compilation mix CD from VOLUME BEAT, Hong Kong’s leading gay club, and was also a featured guest artiste for the club’s opening.

Behind the scenes, Aurora is one of Hong Kong’s most in-demand Image Stylist (Make-Up / Hairstyle) Artists for performing arts presentations and events, working with the Hong Kong Singers, the Hong Kong Players, American Community Theater, Stylus Productions, Shakespeare 4 All and other English-language theatre groups, as well as the leading high-society events company Berge Studio, dance sports performance company Pole Divas and others.

Aurora’s one-woman show at the Hong Kong Fringe Club, The Première, is her first solo recital.  She’ll be singing some of her favourite songs, made popular by artists such as pop stars One Republic, Michael Jackson, Adam Levine, Robbie Williams, Madonna, Randy Newman, Ed Sheeran, Mick Hucknall and Katy Perry, and jazz stars Marilyn Scott, Lena Horne, Peggy Lee, Judy Garland, Patti Austin and Ivan Lins.

All the songs, however, have been arranged with Aurora’s unique interpretation and style in mind, giving them an exciting new “edge” and “twist”.
