Spotlight Penang in Hong Kong

Following the successful collaboration of Spotlight Hong Kong in Penang in 2014, the Fringe Club and George Town Festival are working together again to present Spotlight Penang in Hong Kong from 24 to 26 June 2015.  Spotlight Penang in Hong Kong is a three-day event fostering cultural exchange between the two diverse islands through showcasing music, film, culinary, and creative talents from Malaysia and Hong Kong.

The programme includes:

• Exhibition of sketches by Ch’ng Kiah Kian (Penang) and Alvin Wong (Hong Kong),
  Anita Chan Lai Ling Gallery 12nn-10pm daily

• Exhibition of creative product designs by Howard Tan, Goh Hun Meng and Sentuhan,
  Fringe Vault 11:30am-9pm daily

• Exhibition of glass works by Wong Keng Fuan

• *Tropfest SEA and International Short Film Screenings,
  Underground Theatre 12nn-7pm (24 June) and 12nn-6pm (25-26 June)

• *Live music: Dasha Logan (Penang), LKH Trio (Penang), Kylie Choy (Hong Kong) and the Retro Groovers (Hong Kong),
  Fringe Dairy, Wednesday 24 - Thursday 25 June 2015 7:30pm

• *Creative Dialogues with arts professionals from Penang and Hong Kong,
  Upstairs, Thursday 25 June 2015 7pm
