Synopsis

Formed in Tokyo in 1986 The 5.6.7.8s are performing their first ever set in Hong Kong at the iconic Fringe Club. While their biggest international exposure was a part in the Tarantino flick 'Kill Bill' leading to their hit single 'Woo Ho', The 5.6.7.8s are much more than one-hit wonders, bearing the proud distinction of being the prime and longest-enduring Japanese garage rock girl band.  The band is the brainchild of sisters Ronnie "Yoshiko" Fujiyama and Fujii Sachiko and reflects their love for music from the '50s to the '80s, bluntly alluded to in the group's name. Blending Surf, Rockabilly, Doo-Wop, Psychobilly and Rock and Roll with a distinctive Punk sound their live performances are legendary celebrations of vintage style and sound. Support comes from local Cantonese Rockabilly kings, The Boogie Playboys, and the cinematic retro noir of The Black Lodge Cabaret with vinyl wax and MCing from Dave 'Wobbly' Ross.
